Little Koala

I created this special little Koala because I need to DO something. I will be donating 50% of each sale to World Wildlife Fund, one of Australia’s most trusted conservation organizations. They work to protect endangered species and habitats and meet the challenge of climate change. Donations will help provide emergency care and medicine for injured koalas and other wildlife affected by the bushfires and support a national wildlife and nature recovery plan.

***The Australian bushfires have completely devastated over 20 million acres of land. Over 900 million animals have lost their lives, including an estimated 8,400 koalas. But did you know that even before the bushfires, 95% of koala populations are gone due to deforestation- a staggering 1.2 million trees are bulldozed a year in Eastern Australia. Those trees are koala homes, and if they aren’t crushed when their tree falls, they are vulnerable to predators or starvation while they search for a new home.

All of this to say, our beautiful earth is screaming for us to hear her and we need to listen.

Be sure to choose whether you’d like your Koala as a wallhanging (has a black cotton cord loop for hanging and a bit less stuffing) or a pillow (no loop and more stuffing)! Your Koala may vary slightly due to the unique nature of creating by hand. Make time is currently 3-6 weeks.
